GENERAL INFORMATION

Session Duration:

First session: ~60 minutes

Follow-up sessions: ~50 minutes

A 10-minute phone call with Celeste helps determine if she’s the right fit for you. This call allows you to ask any questions before starting therapy.

Appointment Availability:

There is often a short waiting period before your first session.

Regularly scheduled sessions (usually fortnightly) are recommended for effective progress.

Session Options:

Available in person (Sutherland practice) or online (telehealth).

GP Referral:

Not required unless you want to claim Medicare rebates.

If you need a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHCP), book a longer appointment with your GP.

First Session Expectations:

Feeling nervous is normal.

Celeste will ask questions to understand your experiences and tailor therapy to suit you.

Assessments:

Celeste does not conduct formal diagnostic assessments.

PAYMENT OF FEES

Telehealth Sessions:
Payment via EFT bank transfer the day before your appointment. -
In-Person Sessions:
Payment via tap at the time of your session.

MEDICARE AND PRIVATE HEALTH FUND

Medicare Rebates:
-
With an MHCP and GP referral, you are eligible for 6 Medicare-rebated sessions initially. After a GP review, you may be referred for 4 additional sessions (maximum 10 per calendar year).

Additional sessions beyond this can be privately funded.

Rebate Amount:

Medicare rebate is approximately $96 per session (a gap payment will apply).

Processing Claims:

Celeste does not process Medicare rebates—you will need to claim them yourself.

Private Health Insurance:

Some plans cover psychology sessions—check with your insurer.

Celeste does not submit claims, but you will receive a receipt for reimbursement.
